The Apartment Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh's 2010 Apartment Excellence Awards reception was held on Thursday, June 17 at the Rivers Club downtown Pittsburgh. More than 200 property owners, managers and other professionals attended the 14th annual reception to receive their awards and celebrate with their comrades. The Apartment Excellence Awards is an acknowledgement of excellence within the apartment industry in the metropolitan Pittsburgh area. It offers recognition to the property owners, managers, leasing agents and maintenance staff of those communities that achieve the highest standards of professionalism. Winners of the APARTMENT EXCELLENCE AWARDS demonstrate to their community, residents and peers that their property has the physical qualities and management caliber necessary to be called one of Pittsburgh’s BEST! Representatives of the Northeast Ohio Apartment Association, property professionals from Baltimore, Maryland as well as members of the Builders Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh and members of the Pittsburgh Metropolitan Chapter of the Appraisers Institute judged the properties on June 10th. The Apartment Excellence Awards is not a competition between apartment communities – each apartment community is judged on its own merit and points are awarded based on the judging criteria. Those properties that achieve the minimum score and above will be recognized as an APARTMENT EXCELLENCE AWARDS winner. In addition, the properties that achieve the highest point score (with a minimum score of 98% or above) in each classification of the two categories will receive special plaques of recognition naming the property as the BEST OF THE BEST!
